It was truly a blessing earlier this year spending time with you and the devoted disciples of Jesus, who were former disciples of Mohammed in Islam. It was quite an experience for me, being a native of the USA, and not used to seeing such conditions even in our slums. The happiness and joy I saw, was convicting for me, as was the enthusiasm they had to learn God’s word.
Meeting in that little restaurant, in the back room, meeting both the “covered” sisters as well as the brothers, sharing that type of fermented bread, I don’t recall the name, with the meat and all, in the way they eat it together, was quite an experience. Then walking through the streets, seeing the “glue kids” and hearing you all try to figure out and discuss “on the fly” how to properly help them, which is not just to give them money to go buy more glue, so they can inhale their minds into oblivion.
I asked you about giving to them, and you all educated me of the folly in giving them glue money, but to befriend the over
time, and draw them away from that life. That is a very sad situation for those grade school aged children, who I recall
you saying, that if they don’t get help within a year, their minds would be irreversibly damaged… if I recall that
timeline correctly. Anyway, I am so glad to have gone, I hope to go visit again soon, and to continue to be a source of
financial support to what you are doing there my devoted brother in Christ.
God bless you and keep you in your ministry there, and God bless these brave disciples of Christ to turn away from the life
threatening Islam to the one true King!
